No you're right. It's what they do.
And there is NO distracting him when he's on the trail or got one.. Believe me I've tried. I experience it about 3 times a year.. Bunny seasons.. and I have it pegged as to about how many to expect in a litter. He is not the catcher.. my cat is.. he brings them home..just pawing and playing and then Bailey goes out ..and SNATCHES it before I know what hit me it's .. over.
Until the next batch.. cause ya know,, they breed like... you know.
