I have always given a brewers yeast tablet with garlic. Supposed to be a natural repellent and also good for their skin and coat. My vet said it was a good alternative. I had also befriended a breeder that lived in TN and she said she did the same for all the dogs in her kennel and never have they had any ticks or fleas on them.
Recently started bathing her in Minksheen because of the repellants in it that are natural so I figure I give her a double whammy that is not a chemical treatment.
