I really don't have any advice but just a few random thoughts.

What shampoo have you used besides Minksheen? Ever tried Oatmeal?
Since it comes after a bath, it almost has to be the shampoo it would seem.

But if it isn't that, what protein are you feeding?
Since they can get itchy from their livers, that would be concerning.
I would talk to the liver shunt group about oral aloe before using it because it might set off the liver issues.
