I had bandit neutered at 3 months...when he was barely weighing 2 lbs. He did fine. He came home, acted like nothing ever happened. He is now 7 months and 2.9 lbs...I think he is gonna stay tiny. He is still losing his baby teeth, but he will be going under again, to get them pulled, and I am not worried about it. I am sure the vet is monitoring all the vitals.
