She and I are at odds about where to potty. She refuses to use the pads. We were fine then one day a few weeks back she wont potty on them. Nope refuses. I don't know how to fix this it really makes me soooo sad. I had schnauzers for years before getting Furgie so I am use to potty training. I never had the potty wars.

If someone can help me to train her....I would love to keep her. But I read where most never just get it, that is dishearting....
Oh dear, if its just a potty training issue, do not give up on her. She is only 6 months old. Tucker is 3 YEARS old and is FINALLY potty trained. She's still a little tiny baby. You wouldn't give away a child that didn't understand where to potty.

Can you take her outside to potty? I mean on walks. Tucker wouldn't be housebroken either. He thinks that going out back means play time. When we started walking him 3-4 times a day, he got that that's where he's supposed to go. We still have to walk him 3-4 times a day, but its worth it.

I'm sorry, I don't think a 6 MONTH old baby not being housebroken is a legit reason to give her away. Keep trying. Its going to take a long time -- do you realize how small her bladder is?

If you must use the potty pads, then you need to physically pick her up and put her on it every 20-30 minutes. And every times she eats/drinks, then again 10 minutes later.

Good luck. You can do it!!
