It has worked miracles for my westie Turbo. We had tried everything and did not want to go to the allergy shots. He was on predisone first and it helped, but we didn't want to leave him on steriods. Plus he was gaining major weight with it. I searched and asked my vet about Atopica and he was shocked that I knew about it and couldn't believe I was asking for it. Around here it is not widely used due to price, we are a small town. My vet said it usually took him a year to convince people to put their pets on Atopica. The steriods are just too hard on their bodies. He also said that along with Atopica, we needed to use a good fish oil, and a premium diet. We use Grizzly Salmon oil and feed Evo. It was determined that Turbo did not have food allergies but enviromental allergies and medication was the only thing that was going to help him. It takes a huge chunk out of our budget for his medicine, but I just couldn't keep him on the steriods and couldn't see him suffer. If you have any specific questons feel free to ask!! Good Luck!!
