How far along is she?

They can whelp as early as 57 days. Usually a low temperature means they are due to whelp soon but you can't always go by their temperature.
Were you able to see the xray? Were you able to see the size and position of the puppy?
Often times having one puppy can be a bad situation since that puppy has all the room to grow in the womb resulting in a bigger puppy. Keep a close eye on and any signs of distress during labor.
