Obviously now is not the time, but support your family in keeping Grandpa as a part of their lives.
My father in law passed away when my daughter was not yet 2. As she has learned more about him through the years, she has actually felt even closer to him. On her MySpace last year, we were shocked to see that the person she would like to meet most was her Grandpa Glen. We asked her about it. She doesn't know why, but she feels a kinship with him that is uncanny. But there are so many characteristics, talents, etc. that they share. He would have been her biggest fan!
My point is that while my father is still alive and both girls are very close to him, my oldest feels even closer to the grandpa that she barely knew in this life.
Hugs and prayers for you and yours....
