Megan, you never cease to amaze me! Good job, volunteering. People and the things they do to animals is just so disgusting and the reasons they surrender them is shocking. One of our Foster Mom's just picked up one today ... he was described as "mouthy" and they were going to put him down. He is only a year old!!! The trainer has already seen him ... he's still young, he's a little sweetheart and noone has taken the time to teach him anything!!! And for this, this big bad dog is going to be put down?? Puleeezzzzee! He, like so many others, is going to make someone a wonderful pet.

I know that you will witness some horrible things as a volunteer, but just remember, there are so many happy endings for these guys! The most amazing thing to witness is when they realize that someone is kind and loving towards them ... something that most of them have never known! Good luck!
