Bernie is home from surgery!!!!



He is home and resting. The vet expects a full recovery! We thought we were just taking him in for a consult with the vet who did the original surgery. They had asked us not to feed him after midnight just in case...Well, he looked Bernie over, checked out his x-rays and felt confident that the pin was migrating and causing the problem.

Then...he offered to do the surgery right then and there!!!! We are so relieved that the hardest part of Bernie's ordeal is over. Knowing we wouldn't have the funds to pay for surgery for a few days, we asked about cost and payment plan...You can imagine our amazement when we were told there would be no charge!

So, the man who, just over a year ago, had worked miracles on Bernie when several other vets said "no", once again, performed his magic and got Bernie ready to come home with us and heal!

I was so afraid of this whole thing, and it's turned out so well.

Bernie truly has a guardian angel that works overtime!
