If it were my dog, I'd probably do 2 sets of DHPP 4 weeks apart.
I wouldn't give "C" and I'd give the rabies either two weeks after the last DHPP or maybe in the middle of the two (depending on what your vet prefers). You may need to do 3 sets of DHPP if that is what your vet thinks but I just see no reason to.
I don't like bordatella either, but if you want to give it, I just wouldn't give it on the same day as any other shot. One shot per visit and some people even prefer to not do combos at all (DHPP) but split those up too... |
Thank you! I guess I'll see what they suggest when I take him in. I know that my old vet never gave the Bordatella b/c Max doesn't usually go to dog parks, but he DOES go to the groomer's and when he does, there's almost always a lot of dogs there and he's there for several hours (usually about 4)....would that make any difference? I didn't think about that until I was taking him in one day and it struck me that this might be just as bad as a dog park. It's a very upscale shop in a very upscale neighborhood, but it only takes one dog....
Why would you not give the "C"? Isn't that coronavirus?
When Max had his shots, I just got what they told me to get!
