I have two dogs who have been pee pad/paper trained all their lives and they're 9 and 11 years old. I worked up until two years ago and it was great that they didn't have to "hold it" all day while I was gone. I live alone and am not into going outside late at night or in all kinds of weather, so pee pads work great for me. My two know what the pee pads/paper are for and they don't confuse them with the carpet or throw rugs. My little girl, Lacy, won't potty outside when we go for walks or outside to play. She waits until we get back inside to go to her pee pad/paper.
