I'm facing the same thing. My vet assured me that she would use the tiniest of tubes. I asked if she had to use a tube down the throat, because, of course, I am ignorant about medical issues. She said they have to so oxygen can be delivered. Hope that's the way it actually is. I'm still going to be nervous because Rosie is 12 yrs. old.
