My Bailey is a year old now - and I think the adjustment is a lot of different things - they learn the rules as they get older, they learn a routine as well, you learn a routine, you get used to their energy and yes they do calm down some.

I was afraid Bailey would not sleep in my lap. She always went to the foot of my recliner - instead of my lap. I thought she was going to be an independent little thing. Then around 7 months - she started crawling into my lap. And that is where you will now find her every evening from 8:30 to 10:30 - unless someone gets up to get a snack out of the kitchen!
