All my sons commuted to college from home. No one wanted to go away to college. My one son wanted to live on campus his 4th year & he was so busy between school & working to pay the rent he really didn't enjoy himself like he thought. We actually saw him more though stopping in for food & doing laundry, etc. His fifth year he come back home. When he left for his 4th year my husband was like the commercial with the husband & wife measuring the room & moved his guitars & amps in there.
Everything my boys are studying is more than the 4 years. They are all so busy with their lives I cherish the meals when we're all together - it don't happen often.
We visit my in-laws every summer for a week & they all make sure they are with us. I never thought we would all be together this long.
