Welcome! I am dealing with allergies at this very moment. Hot Rod has yeast in ears and has been scratching ever since we've had him in December 07. My 1st vet test for ringworm, negative. Got a 2nd opinion in meantime and she had given 3 meds and shampoo. The meds seem clear up itch and he didn't have as much flaking and his coat was shinier. The unfortunate thing though is that he is such a picky eater--his tummy got upset from the liquid medication and we stopped everything for 2 days. His itching and flakiness are back. I am slowly giving him 2 of the meds to see if his allergies get better. We will shampoo him at end of week since he was neutered a week ago and didn't want to give him a bath just yet. He didn't have any rash or any spots but because of the constant allergy, vet said she was seeing possible start of staph infection. Hopefully he will get some relief after going back on his meds today.
