Ok first of all, the answer to your problem...I ALWAYS leave the TV on (cable) when I leave. That seems to help a lot.
And to answer your question, yes they do get mad. Mine will go pout if they get in trouble or you don't go to them first over another baby. I have 9 to see when I walk in the house, so I just sort of pick whoever is standing near me first to pick up and kiss...and I go through them one by one. If Maddie isn't first she will pout for the rest of the night. Maddie also HATES diapers. She's trained but I always put one on her at night just in case. When the diaper comes out her head goes down and her tail between her legs...and she hides under the bed. And with Maddie, kisses have to be HER idea. If you try to kiss her and make the kissy noises, she makes what i call the "brat face" and turns her head quickly with her chin up. She's so funny...
