Ok....here is what we decided. Hubby got another offer, the one closer to home, we listed the pros and cons of each and how we would be financially. The job in IL had much more cons than pros once we both sat down and sorted it through. It did pay more but the cost of living is much more so it would basically even out. I didn't push either way. I'm just going with the flow at this point and hubby said he would also be happier close to home. So now it's only going to be an hour move not three hour.
