Actually it is more about drowning them and washing them off and getting them down the drain...lol. I think because Dawn is so thick and makes so many suds that it probably really helps to draw them off.
Frontline Plus is the only flea preventative that I am aware of (I know Advantage has not done this) that has conducted the studies to prove it is safe for pregnant and lactating bitches and queens. I would use that on a pregnant gal if I had a big flea problem, as I think having fleas is more risky to the health of the dam and of course the puppies. Just please do not use OTC flea products!!!!!
