^^^^Agree w/ Crystal as far as dental. Canned food is better for them nutritionally - it is so much less processed than kibble. You could also mix the 2, some do that. You could give non-consumable bones for dental health/chewing. You could use Petzlife gel.
But yes, def. try a premium canned food like Natures Variety, Evangers, Wellness - those should be pretty tasty for him and very good for his health too.
And, just remember, if kibble cleans teeth - then we should throw away our toothbrushes, trash the dentist, and start noshing on triscuits to clean our pearlies.
