That reminds me of my now 12 yr old niece...
For her second Christmas, she ignored all the toys she had just gotten and played with a paper towel roll she had taken out of the garbage. When we'd try to take it from her she pitched a fit, so we just left her alone.
All of the pictures for that year show her sisters playing with new dolls and toys, and her toddling around with that darn piece of cardboard!! Had they only known, her parents could have saved a ton of money!!!
