When mine was a puppy I use #1 All Systems Super Cleaning and Conditioning Shampoo and then condition with #1 All Systems Super Rich Conditioner. When my male got to be about 6 months old then I started adding All Systems Pure Lanolin with the conditioner, poured that on him and then rinsed. Also for the head and face I used a puppy shampoo. Now, I am not experienced at this so it would be best to get advise from others more experienced. So much depends on your Yorkies coat. I know others have followed advise from different show breeders and really messed up the coat. You have to realize that all coats are different and what works for one might not work for another. The kind of brushes you use are also very important and very expensive. You have plenty of time to research all this. Most puppies just need a bath every one or two weeks and gentle brushing and combing to assure no matting is taking place. Over bathing can damage the coat. Once a dog is in oil then you have to bath every 4 or 5 days. Some breeders never use oil, it all depends on the coat.
