Clear Channel Radio of Wichita & PetSmart proudly present the 6th Annual Yappy Days, a Wichita tradition for dogs and the people who love them!
Yappy Days works to promote the health and well being of Wichita’s dogs, to educate dog owners on the importance of spay/neuter procedures, regular vet care, and to encourage dog ownership as a lifetime commitment. Yappy Days shares the joy and fun dogs provide, while showcasing a variety of new products and services.
This one of a kind event combines three key elements; education, entertainment, and a trade show. Vendors range from pet foods to custom clothing, dog training, and fencing.

9:30AM
Wettest Kiss
Each dog will have: 30 seconds to kiss its owner. Judges will count the number of licks administered in the: 30 second period. Most Licks wins.
10:00AM & Noon
Largest Dog
Dogs will be put on a veterinary scale. Most lbs. win.
10:30AM & 2:30PM
What the heck is that?
Prior to the start of this contest the dog owners will fill out a form that lists the breeds of their dog. Our panel of “expert” judges will form one joint opinion as to what they think the breed of the dog is. They will write down their opinion and then give to an impartial third party who will write down the actual breed according to the owners completed form next to the judges guess and give to the MC. In case of a tie, the judges will be told what they got right and asked to guess again.
The dog that stumps the judges the most is the winner.

Dog-Owner look-alike
Each dog and his owner will parade in front of the judges. The panel of judges will rate the dog-owner look-alike factor on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best.
The judge’s scores will be combined and totaled. Highest score wins.
11:30AM & 3:00PM
Stupid Pet Tricks
Each dog will have 2 minutes to perform their trick. The panel of judges will rate it on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best.
The judge’s scores will be combined and totaled. Highest score wins.
12:30PM & 3:30PM
Smallest Dog
Dogs over 1 year old will be put on a veterinary scale. Least lbs. wins.
1:00PM
Bark Off
Each dog will have :30 seconds to “bark off”. Judges will count the number of barks/howls etc. in the :30 second period. Most barks wins.

· SPECTATORS ARE WELCOME TO BRING THEIR DOGS (with current vaccinations) ALONG, EVEN IF THEY'RE NOT IN A CONTEST

A portion of the show proceeds will be donated to The Kansas Veterinary Hospital
