Many of the dog contests are hosted by animal shelters and the like to help raise money for their efforts. Local newspapers often host them as well. Sometimes local fairs and festivals will have a small dog show. Check with your local societies and organizations.

I have found that professional photographers tend to attend these shows in the bigger towns - ask them if they would like to photograph your baby. If she is particularly striking, they may just come up to you
