I had tears in my eyes before even reading it, just thinking of my own girls - ages 18 and 21. I am BEST FRIENDS with the 21 year old - it's uncanny how close. And I am slowing moving from BEST MOM to BEST FRIEND with the 18 year old - almost there.
Your "note" was truly precious.
And to Angela - the base that you built with your son is the base he will come back to. Have faith. You did right and the little side trip he is on right now will be nothing but a funny story to tell the grandkids 20 years from now.......
