Can yorkies be left alone for a certain amount of time or should they be attended to at all points during a day? |
Welcome! IMO, it's not that they can't ever be left unattended but more that you have to make sure that they are safe when unattended. Althou there really are some uber-spoiled yorkies here on YT

, reality is that many of us work full time and/or have to be away at times. When they are tiny, they shouldn't be left unattended more than necessary. They need to eat and potty frequently - as well as play, kiss, and wrap you around their paws! But as they get older, they can be left alone for reasonable periods of time. I work full time but am able to come home at lunch time. So Coby is in a small kennel for about 4 hours at a time. If we are going to be gone longer than that, we build an ex-pen in the kitchen so that he can get to his food, water, and potty pad during that time. Good Luck and can't wait to hear all about your adventures!
Hey, Great Thread Idea too!
