Yorkies, especially yorkie puppies do tend to look pretty ragamuffin shortly after being groomed. Then, when the color starts to break...yikes. Depending on your dogs coat type they can really look a mess. I tell you this so that you don't, like me, keep obsessing on all the pics of yorkies and thinking that yours is especially messy.
Stick with daily grooming and baths as needed. There are lots of products, but I've found that with the variety of yorkie coats, what works well for one may not work for another. It's just trial and error.
