Just wanted to say that we have an Aust. Shepherd (standard size) named Stormie. Smart as a whip, that girl! And super sweet! The herding instinct is so strong in her that she was trying to herd our cows as a small pup! The only part I'm not crazy about is the shedding but Stormie is an "outside dog" and takes care of the property for us - like keeping watch out for coyotes and other predators (except in extreme cold weather which we don't have much of in our area). So, the shedding part of her stays outside too. You do need to be prepared for that if you have one inside. I don't have any info. for you regarding the minis though. Good luck!
