I worried too but everything turned out fine. I worried more with my Pom as he was the first small breed I ever had, and I had the blood panel done. He flew through with flying colors. My Yorkie I had done at a our Humane Society for $50, they don't do a blood panel but at check in told me they would call me if they found any reason she didn't seem good to go, and also informed me of how many small breed surgeries and experience in performing them they have. She also came through just fine. I can only speak for my dogs, but they are just as playful as before with the same personality. Just remember every surgery carries a risk just like for us humans but it's fairly rare statistically speaking. Get a baby onsie to put on her for after the surgery and keep her still. Take deep breaths, the benefits far outweigh the risks
