BYA is for Biewers-I don't think that compares on the same level with ACR/AKC because BYA is breed specific, while AKC and ACR register many breeds.
ACR is not as reputable or well-known as AKC. AKC sets the breed standards in this country for many dog breeds, and holds dogs and the breeders to standards and regulations that must be met in order to be registered with AKC. Personally, I wouldn't buy a yorkie that wasn't AKC-just my preference, as you'll find with many other yorkie owners.
