Don't have any experience w/divorce where a Yorkie was in the picture, but I have been through a divorce with children. IMO, if the parents are in the same town, and they both love their yorkie (how could they not), if custody could be shared I think it would probably work out better for everyone, including the Yorkie, because I imagine it would grieve for its lost parent.
On a lighter note, many, many years ago a girl I worked with got a divorce from her hubby. They had a little skin girl and a siamese cat. There wasn't any arguing over the little girl, but they argued for months re custody of the cat! |
