I chose to be on the ground floor with a patio ...I put indoor/outdoor carpet down for them which doesn't hold the rain or pee & if they do the other.... I just pick it up and flush it - It's a huge help as far as the girl going 'outside' -

They also have pads down in my room and the living room -

but he'll need to exercise - so I'd try to walk him as often as you can - we do 2 walks per day...If you can't do walks - put pee pads down in every room and consistently put him on them telling him to do 'his business' and WHEN HE DOES - give him a treat and throw a parade

you could try a litter box too if he isn't fond of the pads - GOOD LUCK !!
Hi, I'm SO sorry to hear about your loss. I can't begin to imagine what it's like. Try to keep your chin up, your puppies depend on you. I am feeling pretty depressed and devastated about my situation. I chose the top floor for an apartment so that I would feel safer and not having anyone above me walking around. I've been in a home too long to revert back to apartment living without some way of adjusting. Simba is so used to letting me know whenever he wants to go outside to "his" backyard. I am on temporary disability, so I'm home with him. (really terrible timing to have to move). He really enjoys patrolling his territory. Tonight was my first night in my new place, and as it is 4:30am, I can't sleep thinking about this ordeal. Simba is still over at the house with my ex, but I'm bringing him and all his belongings over here in a few hours. I just want to cry. In fact, I am now. I hate to see Simba have to suffer when he has nothing to do with it. Thanks for your advice, and take care of yourself. :-) Cindy
