I use the washable pee pads. pepper is alone for about 10 hrs at night sometimes when me and hubby work, he tries to come by and let her out, but they get busy and can't. So pepper is trained for outside and inside. She lets me know if she needs out if i am awake and sometimes while i sleep(yorkie kiss up the nose) I'll put her out but if she gets up in the middle of the night and just needs to pee or is alone in the house and needs to pee she uses her pee pads. I usually wait till I have 2 or 3 and wash in the washer( the poo you pickup and put in the toilet) try little bit she sells washable pee pads. sorry if this is a little incoherent, just woke up
