Many people who stumble upon YorkieTalk have an immediate need for help. That is not the time for lectures about what should have or could have been done. That is the time to embrace the new member and offer what help we can. After the crisis is over then is the time to try and gently educate. I don't think that I would be willing to listen to someone, no matter how knowledgeable they are, if they were rude to me or made snide remarks in a thread I started asking for help. Those who can't or won't be educated -- well there is nothing we can do to help them or the plite of their Yorkies. Some of the most outspoken posters in this thread have no breeding experience, and a multitude of silent readers have a wealth of knowledge, but refuse to post. The sad thing is -- we all can learn from each other if we would quit trying to be right all the time and open our minds and hearts to the ideas of others. | Amazing Post! Agree 100% |
