We had a cat once that got trapped in one of those. luckliy it was only one foot so there was the "thawp" "thawp" "thawp" noise we couldn't figure out what it was until the cat comes in the room and she is dragging around this trap on her back foot!!! I don't remember how we got it off. I'm so glad you found juan safe and nearly sound. they are fast aren't they.
