The problem with those first shots is that any maternal immunities remaining from nursing kill off the viruses in those first vaccines leaving the puppy completely unprotected. That period is called the "window of susceptibility" when puppies are at great risk of contacting deadly diseases like parvo.
If you must travel with her, make sure she is not around any other dogs and does not go outside in any areas where other dogs have been - no exceptions. |
