this is the exact reason I moved south. I was stranded in the winter of 78/79 and do not want to go thru that one again.
stay indoors and off the roads. keep warm. always have an emergency pack just in case you lose electricity. lots of candles... they provide heat, can be used to warm food, and provide light. if you are really good at it you can also use them for smoke signals.
