Ear piercing is probably no more painful than getting their vaccines. It is just not that big of a deal to me, but maybe I am wrong. I mean if these dogs are our babies and we routinely have our babies' ears pierced, then why not the dogs too. It just does not offend me.
Some of us here dress our dogs and a lot of people would think that is ridiculous and not letting them "just be dogs" but I wouldn't want to hear them "judging us" like we are doing in this thread. JMHO. |
I totally agree with you. My pup is a boy so I wouldnt pierce him but i do think it's the owner's business if they do.you made a good point about us piercing our skin babies and that's normal, they are only in pain for the first day. also in my culture babies are pierced at the age of 3-5 months old before the reach the funiky age where they'd pull on them, my daughters ears were pierced when they were babies and they were hurt for way less time than a vaccination. i do not consider piercing a dog animal cruelty. it's just not common and i think that is why this is stirring up controversy. everyone is entitled to their own opinions but piercing your dog's ear is not cruelty according to me. there are people out there that are much worse, that do not even care enough to keep their dog inside or bathe them, i think a person that chooses to do so may care for their pup very much to want to accesorize their ears. JHMO. I hope this will not stir up an arguement but it's the way i feel and i respect the opinions of others so i expect the same for posting this comment... = ) I love YT!!!!
