I hate to disagree with everyone, but bleach (chlorine) is one of the safest products you can use. It's a great disinfectant, unlike the other products mentioned. Vinegar for example will clean certain things, but it doesn't disinfect them. Certain areas you just want to clean, for example wood floors. Other areas you want to disinfect, such as bathrooms, and kitchen counters.
The residue left after chlorine evaporates is plain old salt. Chlorine bleach is used in most swimming pools. Most city water contains chlorine as well.
The bad thing about chlorine bleach is that you can't use it on certain materials, certain fabrics are not chlorine safe, for example. |
