If I find a new phone, use my current sim card......and add text, or blackberry service, does that change my contract date????

I got a new phone last year, due to 3 refurbished phones being a piece of crap....and THEY changed the end date of my contract WITHOUT my approval......I cannot stand ATT.....ljdflkjlsfalsfjl.....sorry...it still makes me angry.....

So, I may change my carrier before the end of my contract.....but if I dont, I do need a new phone....and in order to get the kind I want, I will buy a phone off of EBAy so as to ensure that my contract stays the same.....

But, what if I add text, or blackberry service??? Will that change the contract date???

Anyone know for sure?????????????????????
