I say it in a nice way, as though I am sharing an interesting and little-known fact, and most people do find it interesting. I don’t get upset with them, or tell them they are perpetuating a stereotype. It is actually a really good lead-in to seeing if the person is aware of puppy mills. If they are interested in what you just explained, you could add that puppy mills are famous for doing that, and if they ask what that is, then you can share and educate one more person on what they are. | Good idea! I just don't want to talk their ear off, ya know? But I'll probably just start saying that from now on.. |
