He could just be losing his baby teeth, but if you are really concerned take him to your vet. Yorkies do need to have they're teeth cleaned by a vet at least twice a year. Smaller dogs are more prone to teeth and gum problems in life. I have my Yorkie's teeth cleaned twice a year, along with daily brushings and he get's a Greenie (which is THE magic word with Boucner) 3 times a week which is very good for dental health.
