It should take less than an hour but quite often pick-ups are at 6pm. I wouldn't be too nervous until then (if you don't hear from them) because they are probably just watching him come out of anesthesia. If they said you could have him by 6, then I'd just show up then if they aren't calling. You could call and check on him if that would make you comfortable...I probably would be.
