My sister has an 11-month-old daughter and a 3.5 year-old yorkie. They were a little nervous about Bogey being jealous of the baby but instead he acts like her protector. And now that she is more mobile and gets into his toys he's still very gentle with her.

I got my Lucy when the baby was about 2 months old and when the baby comes over lucy is very gentle with her, will let the baby pet her and gives her kisses, has never once snapped or growled at the baby.

Now my mom's two yorkies that are 7, Max has now starting getting close to the baby and lets her pet him, but Mazie wants nothing to do with her, anytime the baby is over she goes and pouts in a corner or in the basement until she leaves.

I think you just have to be careful and watch them together. Also, my sister sent some of the baby blankets the baby used in the hospital home with my mom who was watching her dog and let the dog smell the baby's scent on the blanket a couple of days before they brought the baby home.
