Unfortunately I bought my Yorkie from Petland. I didn't know at the time about puppy mills and how horribel Petland is. Luckily, my Lucy is healthy and the best dog. I crate trained her, in fact she still sleeps in her crate at night and is in there during the day while i'm gone. I live with my mom who has 2 yorkies that are mostly pad trained and Lucy also will use the pads.

I also took her to a puppy training class at Training Tracks, I took the class in West Chester, but I believe they have another location in Oxford so you might want to think about enrolling in one of their classes. They were wonderful I think it was 8-10 weeks long on Wednesday nights, the class had about 6-8 other dogs of all different sizes. But they teach you clicker training and handling skills, etc. It's also a great way to socialize your dog. Especially if he/she won't be any other animals.
