I have a lady who wanted to purchase a pup from me(I thought she was a good friend)...She put a deposit down, (she gave me party lite) as the down payment, she sold it to me for $100.00. I sold her a previous pup for $500.00. And told her I would give her a good deal. Now she backed out of the pup and got a pup from somewhere else. (for triple the price)
Now this was back in Sept 07. She now is harassing me, letting the phone ring around 30 times. Wanting her money back. My husband told her that that was a damage deposit and because she was the one that backed out it was non refundable. Now if the pup was sick or such, we would have been more than happy to do a refund.
She says well that wasn't a deposit, it was going towards the dog..Is that not the same thing?
She told my husband because she had given me this party lite, if she would have known I was going to screw her around she would have charged me $250.00.?? She also told my hubby she thought by giving me this party lite the dog was paid off...(nothing was ever said like that on my part)
Then says in the next breath, well if we let her use Peeka for a stud she would then consider the debt paid off....(Peeka is her dogs dad...I think not!)
Now am I wrong? I now owe her?
