We have hawk concerns too. We actually have a side fenced area for the doggies to play in (the dog yard). So, we bought one of the big canvas carport covers with poles to cover the dog yard to keep them dry AND hopefully keep the hawks out. My wonderful engineer Hubby is going to put a net, slanted in on the top of fence. I didn't want them to have the run of the whole acreage, too many snakes, hawks, etc. It works well.
