well, I wrote her back last night further explaining my case to her and telling her that I was disappointed in her denial in her email. it was a long email explaining to her that there was no way she could deny this and that it is frustrating that she felt she had a right to.
anyway, she wrote me a long, apologetic email back, thanking me for bringing it to her attention, and apologizing for how she referred to my daughters room...saying that she thinks I keep a very neat house and how much she loves my house and my "decor". anyway, it was a positive email and she asked for my forgiveness and said that her kids have been in BIG trouble over it and that her oldest has offered...on his own...to come and help Trinity clean up any time she needs help.
I thought that was nice. she also offered to pay for the fish and any damage that might be done. I told her I do not want that...i simply wanted an apology and to help her understand that she needs to keep a better eye on the kids when they are in someone else's home. She agreed and has thoroughly apologized.
I still will not be inviting them over...but at least now we don't have to have awkward feelings when we see each other at church.
