My 3.5 lb. furbaby is terrified of storms and does the circling thing---over my legs, over my head. Tried the valium thing and it had no effect. Just lately I ordered an herbal remedy called Petcalm. The first pinch doesn't seem to affect her much, so I make sure that I give her a pinch when I know a storm is coming and then give her another when the storm hits. She's still scared but she doesn't get so terrified that she pants and circles endlessly. I too am scared that she will give herself a heart attack.
