Okay, perhaps it is different in doggies than humans, but antibiotics tend to kill off our bodies natural flora along with the bacteria... THAT causes the yeast to proliferate and cause yeast infection.

I would ask my vet about using topical miconazole in the ears (or some canine equivalent). Miconazole is found in the OTC area of the drug store. It is used for vaginal yeast and may be too strong for yorkies. I hope you figure out something.
